Also got the window in the kitchen put back together.. but the camera died before pics.. so next time !

Steps Stained

Now that the steps are underway.. there is a question about the top landing .. and the foyer floors.. here are two pictures of the landing at the top of the stairs..

As you can see.. the floor needs something.. this second picture shows there is a different floor at the top of the stairs, than along the side. It needs something lol

Stairs are all cut and in place, just need to be sanded, and pilot holes drilled, then stained if we can find the right color.

Here is a photo of how the foyer looks at this point

In this photo, it is all painted with a final coat of paint waiting for the stair treads and the railing

Here is before the details were painted.. the were stripped off all the old paint, patched up and replaced.

Little time left over.. the bedroom #2 door was framed out, here is inside the room..

One more thing got painted.. the wood work around the kitchen window.

Just a couple of photos of the work on the stairs, the wall trim was removed, sanded and reinstalled.

The Post has been reinstalled, and everything primer coat of paint

Next time more work on the stairs, can't wait to see them done.

First two days in a row it snowed about 6 inches each night.. will spring ever come?

Now, the STAIRS... what a sight, so glad their time has come.

taken apart... paint being stripped, being reinstalled.

Nail holes filled with putty.. all sanded... one final sanding then repaint..

.. just to sand, paint, size and cut stair treads.. then finishing..

Not taking as long as I thought.. as for the finish on the stairs.. research again !
